The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested eight suspects in connection with a series of car thefts, recovering three stolen vehicles during separate operations across Abuja and other locations.
Among those apprehended is a husband-and-wife duo involved in coordinated vehicle theft. According to police sources, the wife confessed to purchasing master keys online on jumia to aid in their criminal activities.

In a related operation, police arrested a five-man syndicate accused of stealing a Mercedes-Benz vehicle from their employer in Lagos. Additionally, a lone suspect was taken into custody after fleeing with a vehicle he was assigned to deliver to Abuja.
All suspects are currently in custody and are expected to be charged in court shortly.
The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, urged residents to take precautions to safeguard their vehicles through installation of tracking devices, parking in secure locations, and always verify ownership before buying any vehicle.
