Nigeria’s former leader, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed happiness with the services of the country’s leading airline, Air Peace.
Obasanjo who flew with the airline on its newly launched Lagos-London route in a trending video expressed his happiness and satisfaction to the daughter of the airline’s founder, Nnenna Oyeama.
Obasanjo is seen saying, “Tell your father that I went and came back and I didn’t complain.”
In a reaction to the ex-President’s review, Air Peace took to its official X handle to thank Chief Obasanjo. The airline statement reads: “It was great having the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, on our Lagos-London and London-Lagos flights recently. He said, ‘I went, it was pleasant. I came back, it was even more pleasant.’ Thank you for flying with us, Your Excellency.”
Air Peace commenced flights to its Lagos -London route on May 30, 2024 and many Nigerians who travel the route have expressed happiness and pride over the “breakthrough” for a Nigerian career.
Since the commencement of the Air Peace flights to London, price of tickets for the route have crashed as foreign carriers angrily reacted by slashing their prices of their tickets, some even rumoured to be cheaper than that of the Air Peace.
