In a statement issued by his media adviser, Emmanuel Eche’ofun, the lawmaker stated that “all lives matter, and that nobody has the moral and constitutional rights to take the life of an innocent and armless person.”

The senator charged security agents to do thorough investigation with a view to getting the real perpetrators of the crime and bringing them to justice.

Senator Moro further said that he found it gratifying that the Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has found it expeditious to condemn the killing of Ardo and Yakubu. He opines that if the governor had been pro-actively living up to his constitutional responsibility of protecting the lives and property of Benue people, this avoidable killing would have been averted.

He extended  his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and called on everyone to join hands together to nip the ugly security situation in the bud.
