Rivers: ‘No More Acrimony’ We’ve Resolved All Differences – Wike, Fubara

Minister of the FCT and former Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Nyesom Wike has said that the political crisis that led to the declaration of emergency in Rivers State has been resolved and there was no more “acrimony” among the political leaders in the state.

Speaking to journalists after a meeting with President Tinubu at the State House on Thursday night both Wike and the suspended governor of the state, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara agreed that all differences between them have been resolved.

In his words, Mr. Wike said, “We have all agreed to work together with the governor and the governor has also agreed to work with us. We are members of the same political family.  We have disagreement and we also have a time to also settle disagreement. And that has been finally concluded today.

“For me everything is over and I enjoy everybody who has agreed to work with us to also work with everybody.”

“There is no more acrimony, there is nothing to say. We have all agreed.”

On his own part, Governor Fubara concurred, “For me its very important that this day has come to be. What we need for the progress of Rivers State is peace and by the special grace of God this night with the help of Mr. President  and the agreements of the leaders of the state peace has returned to Rivers State. We will do everything in our power to make sure that we sustain it this time around,” the governor concluded.
