Planned Power Outage in Suleja and Environs as TCN Conducts Maintenance on Transmission Substations
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a scheduled preventive maintenance exercise on one of its key power assets—the 60MVA transformer and associated switchgears—at the Suleja 132/33kV Transmission Substation.
The notification was issued by Ndidi Mbah, TCN General Manager, Public Affairs on friday.
The maintenance is set to take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., as part of the company’s annual effort to ensure reliability and efficiency of power infrastructure.
Due to this activity, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to draw power from the affected transformer during the period, resulting in a temporary power outage in the following areas: Hassan Dalhatu, Rafin Sanyi, parts of Madalla Field Base, parts of Dikko, Sabon Wuse, Suleja Township, and surrounding communities.
TCN assures the public that bulk power supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the maintenance.
