Nigeria Flying Eagles Depart for Egypt Ahead of 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations

The Under 20 National Football team of Nigeria, the Flying Eagles has depart Nigeria for Egypt for the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The tournament will start on the 27th of April 2025 and the head Coach Aliyu Zubairu has selected a 24-man squad to represent the country.

The seven-time African champions and two-time World Cup runners-up departed Nigeria on Sunday and will play a couple of friendly matches before opening their campaign against Tunisia on Thursday, 1st May, in Cairo.

They face Morocco three days later and conclude their group stage against Kenya on Wednesday, 7th May. All four semi-finalists will qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, scheduled for 27th September to 19th October.
