The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has commenced the disbursement of April 2025 upkeep payments to eligible student beneficiaries nationwide, according to an official update released by the agency on it X page on Monday.
While the majority of payments have been successfully processed, NELFUND acknowledged that a small number of students may encounter delays due to a recent upgrade to its payment and application processing system. The organization assured students that the upgrade is intended to enhance security and streamline future disbursements.
“This system upgrade is expected to enhance security and support the timely disbursement of upkeep allowances in subsequent payment cycles,” NELFUND stated.
NELFUND also reiterated its commitment to ensuring all eligible students receive their entitlements promptly. “We remain committed to transparency, operational excellence, and the timely delivery of student support in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda,” said Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, Director of Strategic Communications.
She added that the agency is collaborating closely with relevant stakeholders to resolve any outstanding issues and appreciates the patience and cooperation of all affected parties.
