The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed its operatives arrested Lagos bases cross dresser, Bobrisky.
The EFCC in a statement issued by its spokesman,Dele Oyewole, said the Bobrisky’s arrest has nothing to do with his lifestyle, but on on ‘Economic crime.”
Comfirming the development, oyewole said, “Bobrisky is with us. He was arrested last night in Lagos, and he is at our Lagos command. We arrested him for alleged abuse of naira notes, spraying of nara notes, and currency mutilation, among others.”
“We don’t have anything to do with his lifestyle (being a cross-dresser). He was suspected of committing an economic crime and that was the reason for his arrest.”
“We are very serious about restoring the dignity of the naira. Though our investigation is still ongoing, but he will definitely be charged to court soon.”
Bobrisky whose real name is Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju recently announced that he has transitioned into a female with “female genitals” the popular Lagos cross-dresser is not new to controversies.
