The Nigerian Army has declared eight persons wanted including a professor of Physics, Ekpekpo Arthur wanted over the killing of 17 military personnel in Okuama community in Delta State.
Ekpekpo is a professor of Solid State Physics at the Delta State University Abraka, he was a former Head of the Depart of Physics in the university.
In statement shared on Thursday by army authorities the full list of the suspects are: Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono, Prof Ekpekpo Arthur, Andaowei Dennis Bakriki, Igoli Ebi (female), Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki, Clement Ikolo Oghenerukevwe and Reuben Baru.
FACTSHEET reported that President Bola Tinubu and Chief of Defence Staff, have vowed to ensure the arrest and prosecution of all those suspected to have masterminded the killing of the 17 military personnel which included a Lt. Colonel who was the Commanding Officer, a Major, two captains and 13 soldiers.
At the burial of the slain service men in Abuja on Wednesday, President Tinubu bestowed posthumous national honours on the fallen soldiers and awarded scholarships to their children in addition to a promise to build houses for their families.
