Publisher of Ovation International Magazine and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dele Momodu has revealed that the money being doled out to some leaders of the party is the reason Nyesom Wike, the Minister of FCT is still holding the PDP to ransom.
Momodu in a statement shared on his X handle in response to a criticism of an X user said that Wike has amassed so much wealth that his bribes are “irresistible” to PDP leaders.
The X user, TENIBEGILOJU202 has said in a post that the “PDP is the most useless party in the world! rather than take a bold step on Wike, they sent PDP governors to beg him! I am beginning to think dat there is big secret that Wike has against PDP leaders dat made him untouchable. @BwalaDaniel @DeleMomodu you don’t belong in dat party.”
In his response, Momodu wrote, “When a tsetse fly perches piercingly on your testicle, you require all the skills and wisdom to get rid of it. The extraordinary resources available to NYESOM WIKE, courtesy of PDP, ironically, are so humongous, and irresistible to most Nigerian politicians, the reason he wants to be king in two political parties, simultaneously!!”
Nyesom Wike, the immediate past governor of Rivers State under the platform of the PDP had worked against the party during the 2023 general elections and was later rewarded with an appointment as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) by President Bola Tinubu.
Wike, despite his new romance with the All Progressives Congress (APC) has insisted that he remains a member of the PDP and has recently confronted the governor of Rivers State, Similaye Fubara over suspicion that there were plans to scheme him out of the leadership of the PDP in Rivers State.
