There is heavy security presence around the  Supreme Court of Nigeria as the apex court unveiled a seven-man panel to that will hear the appeals filed by the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Mr. Peter Obi.

The paneled by Justice John Inyang Okoro has Justices Uwani Aba-Aji, Lawal Garuba,  Ibrahim Saulawa, Adamu Jauro, Abubakar Tijani and Emmanuel Akomaye Agim as members.

Major key issues in the appeals centre on the eligibility of President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima’s to have stood for the 2023 presidential election.

Both the PDP and LP candidates contend that President Tinubu did not secure 25 percent of valid votes in the FCT.

Another key issue is the recent revelations that President Tinubu’s academic records in the Chicago State University (CSU), further disqualifies him from being eligible for the election.
