Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has said he voluntarily returned to Nigeria to assist the police to unearth the cause of death of his former signee, Mohbad.
In a statement on Tuesday, Naira Marley said, “I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”
However, in another statement, the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin said the police have arrested the music star over its ongoing investigation on the cause of death of Mohbad.
“Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities…#justice4Mohbad #justiceforMohbad,” the Lagos State Police spokesman wrote on the statement published on X.
