Tribunal Upholds Umahi’s Election, Says Linus Okorie Did Not Prove Allegations of Corruption, Noncompliance
The Ebonyi State National and State Assembly Election Tribunal has dismissed the petition filed by the Labour Party (LP) Senate candidate for Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Hon. Linus Okorie against the declaration of Chief David Umahi as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a unanimous ruling, the tribunal held that the petitioner was unable to prove that Umahi was not validly elected.
