The Enugu State House of Assembly has approved a N58 billion supplementary budget brought before it by the state Governor, Mr. Peter Mbah.
The budget of N58, 095,482,293 according to the lawmakers will enable the state government complete various new projects and intervention programmes initiated by the Mbah government before the 2024 annual budget.
Speaking on the supplementary budget, the Speaker of the House, Hon. Uche Ugwu said that that “no part of the State would be marginalised by the government as every part would benefit from the development projects of the new administration.”
Expressing his support, the Minority Leader of the House, Hon. Iloabuchi Aniagu, said the supplementary budget was in the best interest of the government and people of Enugu State.
