The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iliya Damagun has said that the party is not against coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Damagun who spoke at a National Consultative Conference organised by the party at the NAF conference centre Abuja on Wednesday clarified that what the leaders of the party only insisted that they will not leave the PDP for any other party.
According to Damagun, “we have not said that we are not going to be part of alliance, what we said is that we will not go to another party.
“We are not averse to people coming to join us.. we welcome any collaboration with any party and any body. A house divided can never stand.”
The Consultative conference which was attended by leaders of the party including governors, members of the National Working Committee, National Assembly members and state Working Committee leaders across the country is a party of activities lined up ahead of the National Executive Committee (NEC) slated for Thursday.
