According to the statement, the curfew has been adjusted to 10pm to 4am daily with immediate effect, following the gradual return of peace to the affected communities.

Governor Adeleke, who expressed satisfaction with the improved security situation, directed security agencies, including the Nigerian Army, Police, and NSCDC, to continue 24-hour surveillance in the areas to prevent any breakdown of law and order.

“The Governor has directed that the curfew earlier imposed on the two communities on January 16, 2025, be relaxed from 7pm to 7am to 10pm to 4am daily, starting from today, Sunday, March 2, 2025, until total peace is restored,” the statement partly read.

He urged community leaders, traditional rulers, and residents to leverage the ongoing Ramadan period to pray for lasting peace and unity.

Governor Adeleke warned that anyone found instigating violence would face the full wrath of the law, reiterating his administration’s commitment to ensuring sustainable peace in the state.
