FG Inaugurates Technical Working Group to Oversee State House Medical Centre Facility Management

The Federal Government has inaugurated a Technical Working Group (TWG) tasked with securing a private facility manager for the State House Medical Centre, as part of efforts to enhance the delivery of healthcare services within the Presidential Villa.

Originally designed to cater to the needs of the First and Second Families, the Centre’s mandate has now been expanded to serve a wider group including members of the National Assembly, the Judiciary, Ministers, and all personnel working within the State House.

Speaking at the inauguration, the official overseeing the process emphasized the significance of the assignment. “This is not solely about facility management, it is about setting a precedent for how public healthcare assets can be managed for optimal service delivery to benefit our nation,” the official said.

“I extend my gratitude to our formidable leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for entrusting us with this critical initiative,” the official added, commending the TWG members for their readiness to serve with integrity, seriousness, and focus.

The move is seen as a step towards institutionalizing world class healthcare management within government facilities and ensuring sustainable, efficient service for public officials and institutions.
