Ebonyi Government Celebrates Students’ Top Performance in 2024 NECO Results

The Ebonyi State Government has expressed pride and satisfaction over the state’s outstanding performance in the 2024 National Examination Council (NECO) results, describing it as a testament to the effective education policies of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s administration.

According to a performance analysis released by Statisense, based on official data from NECO, Ebonyi State ranked among the top three states nationwide, alongside Abia and Imo. The report showed that 80.55% of Ebonyi students scored five credits and above, including in English and Mathematics.

Reacting to the news, the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Engr. Jude Chikadibia Okpor, said the result “represents a plausible gauge of the endearing educational policies of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s administration.”

He further described the result as “a reliable pointer to the fact that Ebonyi people made the right choice in electing His Excellency as their leader.”

The government encouraged residents to continue supporting and praying for Governor Nwifuru, “through whom God is answering our prayers,” the commissioner added.

“Better is not good enough—the best is yet to come,” the statement concluded.
