…Says torrents of endorsements are not a fluke
President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for restoring Nigerians’ hope in the vision of a viable, inclusive, and sustainable nation through bold and transformative leadership.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Senator Akpabio congratulated President Tinubu on his second anniversary in office, commending his administration’s implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said has laid the foundation for long-term national development.
“Today, May 29, 2025, marks the second year anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. On behalf of the Nigerian Senate, the entire National Assembly, my family, and constituents, I extend my warmest and profound congratulations to a visionary, courageous, and transformative leader on this milestone,” Akpabio stated.
He praised President Tinubu’s economic and fiscal reforms, describing them as evidence of his unwavering commitment to repositioning Nigeria toward greatness.
“Your bold initiatives, particularly in economic and fiscal policy, reflect your steadfast dedication to transforming Nigeria,” Akpabio said. “Your efforts to give every region a sense of belonging—exemplified by the creation of development commissions across all geopolitical zones—are truly unprecedented.”
Akpabio also commended the administration’s focus on infrastructure and security, highlighting ongoing landmark projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Lagos-Maiduguri corridor as symbols of purposeful development.
“Your economic reforms are gradually positioning Nigeria as a top destination for both local and foreign investors,” he noted. “With the Naira gaining strength and significant fiscal policies in place, the signs of recovery and resilience are evident.”
On the issue of security, Akpabio acknowledged what he described as “commendable progress” in counter-insurgency operations.
“The Nigerian Armed Forces, under your administration, have taken the fight directly to insurgents and criminal elements. The results are clear and encouraging,” he added.
Referencing the growing public support for Tinubu’s leadership, Akpabio stated:
“The overwhelming endorsements you’ve received just two years into your first term are no fluke. They are grounded in your verifiable record of good governance, delivery on campaign promises, and a deep-seated national commitment.”
Pledging the continued support of the Senate, Akpabio affirmed:
“The Senate remains committed to partnering with the Executive arm to ensure the success of your initiatives. We recognize the challenges ahead and pledge to work together in overcoming them.”
