Portuguese football superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has made history as the first individual to reach one billion followers on the social media.
Ronaldo reached the one billion mark after he reached over 100 million on X, 600 million on Instagram, 170 million of Facebook and over 60million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Also, he has millions of other followers on Chinese social media network including Weibo.
Ronaldo recently scored his 900th goal as he led Portugal to a 2-1 win over Croatia in the Euro Nations tournament.
In a statement he issued in appreciation to followers, the Manchester United Legend who currently plays for Al-Nasser in Saudi Arabia wrote :
“We’ve made history — 1 BILLION followers! This is more than just a number – it’s a testament to our shared passion, drive, and love for the game and beyond.
“From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world, I’ve always played for my family and for you, and now 1 billion of us stand together.
