The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognised former President of the Senate, David Mark as the substantive National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
INEC also recognised the entire leadership of the party as submitted to its has published the names of the new National Working Committee (NWC) of the party on its website.
Those in the new leadership as published by INEC include, Ogbeni Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Mani as National Treasurer, Akibu Dalhatu as National Financial Secretary, and Professor Oserheimen Aigberaodion Osunbor as National Legal Adviser.

ADC has been plagued by leadership crisis with several actors accused of being externally sponsored claiming to be leaders of the party.
The recognition of the David Mark-led leadership is expected to engender mass mobilization of members across Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections. The emergence of the ADC has disrupted political permutations in the country with both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and opposition Peoples Democratic Party contributing most of the major leaders in the emergent ADC.
