Tinubu to Depart Abuja for 37th AU Summit

President Bola Tinubu will tomorrow (Thursday) depart Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU).

Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday said that Tinubu will also attend an extraordinary meeting of the Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS on the sidelines of the AU Summit.

President Tinubu will attend the ECOWAS his capacity as the Chairman of the regional body

The theme of the AU Summit is  ‘‘Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa.’’

The summit is expected to discuss ways of tackling emerging security threats in the continent, the increasing military incursion in various countries as well as the escalating crises in Senegal.
