Ex Nig Ambassador to South Korea, Desmond Akawor Appointed RMAFC Fed Commissioner

President Bola Tinubu has appointment of Ambassador Desmond Akawor as a Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

His appointment is subject to confirmation by the Senate.

Presidential Spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, a statement on Thursday confirmed the appointment of Akawor, a former Nigerian Ambassador to South Korea and one time Minister of State for Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was also a former CEO of the Delta River Basin Authority and Executive Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (Engineering & Technical Services).

He replaces Asondu Wenah Temple in the Commission  who died on November 1, 2023. Late Wenah was a strong political ally of former minister of transport, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.
