Tijani Adeyemi, Nigerian Tribune’s Senate Correspondent Dies in Abuja

The Nigerian Tribune Newspapers on Wednesday lost its Senate Correspondent, Mr. Tijani Adeyemi who was popularly known as TJ.

Late Adeyemi died of suspected heart attack on his way to Work. After he had collapsed in the vehicle within the National Assembly premises, he was subsequently rushed to the SGF clinic, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Journalists in the National Assembly were thrown into mourning when the news filtered in that the easy going journalist had died.

In the Senate Press Centre, the seat of the late Tribune Correspondent was left vacant in his honour.

Several lawmakers including the immediate past President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan and the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele were among the early callers that sympathized with the family and colleagues of the late journalist.

His remains have been buried at the Gudu Cemetery, Abuja in accordance with Islamic rites.
