FG Declares Wednesday Public Holiday
The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, September 27, 2023 as public holiday in commemoration of Eil-ul- Maulid celebration by Muslim faithful.
In a statement issued on Monday evening by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Oluwatoyin Akinlade, the government through the Interior Minister, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo congratulated Muslims all over the world for witnessing this year’s occasion.
The minister also urged the Nigerian Muslims to imbibe the spirit of love, tolerance, perseverance and patience which are deep spiritual virtues that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) exemplified
