You Accommodated Opposing Views, Kalu Celebrates Ex-Abia Governor, Ikpeazu on 61st Birthday
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu on the occasion of his 61st birthday.
In a statement, Kalu who represents Bende Federal Constituency of the State at the National Assembly recalled that Ikpeazu’s administration demonstrated remarkable leadership by fostering an environment of peace and respect for all.
He said that Ikpeazu’s government accommodated the views of the opposition and upheld the principles of free speech, allowing critics to express themselves without fear of persecution.
Noting that Ikpeazu’s leadership style, characterized by humility and willingness to listen, endeared him to the people of Abia State, the Deputy Speaker added that the commitment of the former Governor to the ethos and tenets of democracy and good governance was exemplary.
Kalu said that Ikpeazu’s administration also made significant strides in improving the State’s infrastructure, laying the foundation for sustainable development.
Joining his family members, the good people of the State, friends and political allies in celebrating the milestone birthday, the Deputy Speaker wished Ikpeazu good health, longevity, and many more years of service to humanity.
