Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived Kebbi State to meet with officials of the state government and families of the schoolgirls abducted from the Government Comprehensive Secondary school, Maga, Danko district, Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of the the State.
The Vice President who is accompanied by the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), will meet with the state governor, Dr. Nasir Idris as well as the staff of the school.
President Bola Tinubu had directed the VP to visit the Northwest state and interface with the people on ground.
Earlier, FACTSHEET reported that President Tinubu cancelled his scheduled visit to South Africa to attend the G20 Leaders’ Summit as well as a trip to Luanda, Angola where he was billed to attend the AU-EU Summit.
The President who has assured Nigerians that the schoolgirls will be rescued, haven already issued strong directive to Nigerian security forces ton ensure the rescue of the girls.
