The United States Government has permanently banned Africa’s maiden Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka from entering the country.
Prof Soyinka on Tuesday disclosed that his Visa into the US has been revoked, permanently.
Speaking at the Kongi harvest conference, the Nobel Laureate stated that he had to inform his audience in US that he may not be able to physically be with them anytime soon.
Prof Soyinka revealed that he no longer have visa into the US.

According to him, “I have no visa; I am banned, obviously, from the United States. And if you want to see me, you know where to find me.”
“I’m still looking into my past history. I don’t have any past criminal record or even a felony or misdemeanour to qualify for the revocation.”
The professor added that he had begun reflecting on whether any of his past actions might have triggered the decision.
“I’ve started looking back—have I ever misbehaved toward the United States of America? Do I have a history? Have I been convicted? Have I gone against the law anywhere?”
