Tinubu Appoints Gov Mbah Chairman Presidential Committee on Revamp of Security Training Institutions Nationwide

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has been appointed of a presidential committee vested with the responsibility of revamping  of training institutions for security agencies across the country.

 

The appointment of Governor was part of the outcome the National Economic Council meeting held at the Presidential Villa Abuja on Thursday which was chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima with President Bola Tinubu in attendance.

Announcing the appointment of Governor Mbah through a statement shared on his social media pages on Thursday, Vice Presudent Shettima said that the committee was given one month to report back to the presidency.

 

The statement reads:

 

“Today, I chaired the 152nd meeting of the National Economic Council held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

“The meeting was graced by my boss, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who presented a proposal to NEC on the revamp of training institutions for security agencies in the country.

 

“Following the President’s proposal, NEC constituted a committee chaired by the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, to oversee the process of overhauling training institutions for security agencies across the country.

 

“The committee has a one-month period to produce a blueprint for the renovation of training institutions for the Nigeria Police Force and sister agencies nationwide.”

The meeting was the first the Enugu State governor was attending as a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
