Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim has condoled with the families of the victims of the tanker explosion accident that claimed the lives of some Nigerians in Abuja on Wednesday evening.
The minister according to a statement signed by her Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Mr. Jonathan Eze expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident.
The minister while condoling with the victims of the explosion and their families also called for a more serious safety measures on Nigerian roads to prevent such incidents in the future.

Part of the statement reads,
I am deeply saddened by the “tragic gas tanker fire explosion that occurred at Karu Bridge along the Abuja-Nyanya-Keffi Highway on Wednesday evening.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and all those affected by this unfortunate incident. The loss of lives and property is a painful reminder of the need for increased safety measures to prevent such occurrences.
“As we mourn, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wish the injured a swift recovery. May God grant them strength and comfort during this difficult time.
