Speaker Abbas Congratulates House Appropriations Chairman, Hon. Bichi, for Bagging Second Honorary Doctorate Degree

 

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has felicitated the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, Rep. Abubakar Kabir Bichi, for bagging another Doctorate Degree from the Federal University, Kashere, Gombe State on Saturday.

Rep. Bichi had on November 3, 2024, bagged an honorary doctorate degree, Engineering, from the Federal University, Dutsinma (FUDMA), Katsina State.

 

On Saturday, July 5, the Federal University, Kashere conferred a second honorary doctorate degree in Science on Rep. Bichi in recognition of his contributions to the society as a whole.

 

The lawmaker, who represents Bichi Federal Constituency of Kano State, was among a few notable Nigerians so recognized by the institution.

 

Speaker Abbas, in a congratulatory message through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, described the honour as a well-deserved one.

 

He said Rep. Bichi has over the years demonstrated his capacity as an experienced politician, who blazes the trails in whatever position he is entrusted with.

 

The Speaker expressed delight that reputable higher institutions of learning have begun to recognize Rep. Bichi’s contributions to the Nigerian society.

 

The second honorary doctorate, the Speaker noted, is a testament to Rep. Bichi’s unwavering commitment and resilience not only to lawmaking but also to good governance as a worthy representative of his people.

 

Speaker Abbas wished the chairman of the Appropriations Committee more success in his career, urging him to maintain the tempo as an exemplary politician.
