The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has congratulated the Etsu Nupe, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, on his 73rd birthday and 22nd anniversary of his enthronement.
Speaker Abbas, in a congratulatory message, said the Etsu Nupe, as the Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, has a national positive impact on the affairs of the country.
The Speaker hailed Alhaji Abubakar for his incredible service to the country as an officer of the Nigerian Army who retired at the enviable rank of Brigadier General and later as Etsu Nupe, a first-class traditional leadership position in Niger State.
While noting the Etsu’s fatherly and wise counsel to political leaders in the country, Speaker Abbas commended him for being a peacemaker, bridge-builder, and elder statesman uniting the country.
The Speaker prayed to Allah (SWT) to keep Alhaji Abubakar for more years in good health, while his reign will continue to record peace and prosperity for the Nupe Kingdom.
