Six More Governors Will Join APC- DG, Progressive Govs Forum

 

 

The Director General of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Mr. Folorunso Aluko has said that six more governors will join the All Progressives Congress (APC) by 2027.

Mr. ‎Aluko who spoke at the PGF Quarterly Strategy meeting of Information Commissioners from all APC-led states which  held in Maiduguri, the  Borno State capital on Thursday noted that the APC has marshalled strategic plans to ensure that 30 out of the 36 states are controlled by the APC in 2027.

According to him, “By the grace of God and the will of Nigerians, we are confident that the PGF will rise from today’s 24 states to at least 30 states before the end of 2027.

‎“We are strengthening our strategic posture and aligning every message with measurable impact.

‎”And as we look towards 2027, our conviction remains firm. The APC will grow stronger.”

On Tuesday the Governor of Enugu State, Mr. Peter Mbah defected from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, while Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State, another members of the PDP also resigned from the party and is expected that he would join the APC in the coming days.

Also, Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State and his Osun State counterpart, Ademola Adeleke are also said to be getting ready to join the APC before the end of 2025.
