The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Chukwuemeka Chijioke Agbasi as the substantive Managing Director of Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
The Senate also confirmed President Bola Tinubu’s nominees for membership of the Board of FERMA.
The board members confirmed include, Engr. Ibi Terna Manasseh, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, Sen. Timothy Aduda, Babatunde Daramola, Hon. Preye Oseke, Aminu Adamu Papa, Engr. Abubakar Bappa, ACM Shehu Mohammed and Yusuf Lawal Othman.
The confirmation follows the consideration of the report of the Senate Committee on FERMA which was presented by its Chairman, Sen. Hussaini Uba.
Presenting the report, the Sen. Uba urged the Senate to consider the request of President Tinubu for the confirmation of the nominee in accordance with Section 2(1)(2) of the FERMA Act 2002 saying that the nominees have been found fit to hold the positions.
After receiving and considering the report of the Senate Committee on FERMA, the confirmation was announced in accordance with Section 2(1)(2) of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency Act, 2002.
