The House held a plenary session on March 12, 2025 and six days later on March 18, President Tinubu suspended all members alongside Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Mrs. Ngozi Odu.

It is not clear what the agenda of the sitting is, but sources close to one of the lawmakers told FACTSHEET that the members will hold a press conference later in the day to brief their constituents and the people of Rivers State on their resolution.

The source said that members have committee to pursue peace noting that what happened in the state was not “personal fight” but in the interest of democracy in Rivers State.
