The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the postponement of its earlier scheduled 100th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled to hold on Monday, June 30, 2025.
The Acting National Chairman of the party, Amb Illiya Damagum made the announcement on Wednesday in Abuja in company with the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and the Chairman of the Reconciliatory Committee, Senator Bukola Saraki.
The Acting National Chairman said that the shift was a result of the meeting the party leadership held with the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which revealed that the party did not properly notify the commission as required by law.

Damagum explained that the party will, however, hold an expanded stakeholders meeting on June 30th.
According to him, “We will have an expanded Caucus, at the next Caucus we will take a decision leading to a proper NEC.
The Acting National Chairman also reiterated the resumption of Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the party’s National Secretary.
“Anyanwu is resuming as the National Secretary, that is why I said it was a critical decision. Like INEC said they don’t have our notice, so what we will have on June 30th is an extended Caucus meeting.
