Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced that he has joined the Accord Party .
The move is a strong show of support for his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke who recently joined the party and subsequently picked the governorship ticket of the party ahead of the June 2026 governorship election in the Southwest state.
In a statement shared on his X handle on Tuesday, Davido announced that plans have been concluded for him to officially obtain the ADC membership card in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Wednesday.
According to the Grammy nominated singer, “I Will be live in Osun to pick up my @AccordPartyNG membership card @ IMOLE HOUSE OSOGBO Tomorrow… see you soon ACCORDINGLY 😇 Cc @AAdeleke_01.”
While his uncle was in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Davido showed a lot of support including accompanying him on campaign trials and also mobilising voters in support of the popular “dancing Senator.”
