The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied reports in some media outlets indicating that the ruling party has agreed to give return ticket to all National Assembly members from the party as well as other elected officers of the party.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC urged its members and the public to disregard the information as it was a “fake news.”
Morka’s statement assured the public that the news never emanated from the party.
Part of the statement reads:
“The attention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been drawn to a purported breaking news report tagged: ‘APC Grants Automatic Tickets to All National Assembly Members’ in viral circulation.
“The report is FAKE NEWS and should be disregarded in its entirety as it did not emanate from our great party.
“We urge all party members and the general public to disregard the report as FAKE and of mischievous origin.”
