Nigerian Government Ignored Intelligence Reports on Lakurawa Terrorists- Niger Leader, Abdourahamane Tchiani
Nigerien military Head of State, Abdourahamane Tchiani, has accused the government of Nigeria of encouraging the birth of the Lakurawa terrorist group that recently invaded some parts of Northwestern Nigeria.
Tchiani who spoke to Nigerien state media, TRT TV stated that he gave intelligence to Nigeria to security brass about the Lakurawa terrorist group, but the Nigerian authorities failed to act on it.
Mr. Tchiani said that part of the intelligence was a report that the French government was making plans to establish a terrorist command post in Sokoto axis of the Northwest Nigeria.
According to Tchiani, “We arrested some top leaders of the Lakurawa terrorist group, and they shared with us a plot by the French government to set up a camp in a village called Gaba in Sokoto State.
“The agreement was signed on March 4, 2024. The agreement was between ISWAP and the French government
