Nigerian Billionaire, Obijackson Pays N78 billion for Gulfstream G700 Jet
Nigerian businessman and oil mogul, Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi popularly known as Obijackson is set to acquire one of the most luxurious business jets in the world, The Gulfstream G700.
The aircraft valued at a whopping N78 billion will be an addition to the Okija, Anambra State born billionaire’s jet list. The G700 is the latest and most recent flagship from Gulfstream haven entered service in 2022.
Obi Jackson was in the United States of America in December, 2022 alongside his advisers and legal team to sign the contract for the purchase of the “bird” which according to sources close to him is customized to suite his exquisite taste. The customization of the jet is what has taken time. The jet is now set for delivery
The G700 is a top notch business jet that can sit up to 13 passengers and used by the very wealthiest in the world. The aircraft has some dizzying attributes including a maximum cruising altitude of over 50, 000 ft and can travel at maximum speed of 6,650nm or more than 12,316 kilometres per hour!
It is said that the jet can offer a rare partial spherical view of our planet to its occupants when at maximum cruising altitude, it’s more like space travel.
Obijackson, started his business in the early 80s haven learnt the ropes from his father. His business blossomed as signified by the imposing Nestoil Towers in the Victoria Island area of Nigeria’s commercial capital, Lagos.
A well footed philanthropist, Obijackson is one of the most visible givers to charity in Nigeria.
Through the Obijackson Foundation he has invested billions in various philanthropic projects in Nigeria.
On his love for private jets, in between 2021 and 2022, the oil mogul was said to have spent N31 billion in the maintenance of both his aircrafts and private hanger at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
