Military Aircraft Crash Kills 18 Students, Two Teachers

A Bangladeshi Air Force plan has crashed into  a school and killed 18 students and two teachers.

The  aircraft,  a Chengdu F-7BGI belonging to 35 Sqn. Bangladesh Air Force crashed after  the pilot identified as Flt.Lt.Towkir Islam Sagar lost control  of the jet which subsequently crashed  into a building of the Milestone School and College Campus, Uttara area, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The pilot was recovered and taken to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

More than 160 persons were also hospitalised,some suffered serious burn injuries.

 

The Bangladeshi Air Force has not given a comprehensive information on the doomed aircraft at press time.
