The lawmaker representing Udi/ Ezeagu Federal Constituency of Enugu State on the platform of the Labour Party (LP), Hon Sunday Cyriacus Umeha has resigned his membership of the LP and defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Abbas Tajudeen who read the Hon. Umeha’s letter welcomed the defecting lawmaker and told him “your sins are forgiven.”
In his letter, Hon Umeha attributed his defection to the “lingering crisis, leadership tussle and instability in the Labour Party.”
The Chairman of the APC in Enugu State, Mr. Ugochukwu Agballa was in attendance at the House plenary to witness the defection.
