Mrs Blessing Neojiji, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State, has declared that she is ready to contest the 2027 National Assembly election and win despite the strength of her opponents in the race.

Speaking at the flag-off of her campaign in Abakaliki this week, Mrs. Nwojiji declared that her vision for the federal constituency is lead an “inclusive representation”  that once again make Abakaliki the hub of commercial activities  for the people of the state.

Enumerating her seven-point agenda, Mrs. Nwojiji said that when elected, she would with all vigour pursue the “Establishment of Abakaliki Rice Processing and Export Zone”  to create jobs, properly commercialise activities and add value to rice production in the Abakaliki area.

Other areas of her agenda include, Youth and Women development, education, better healthcare delivery, peace-building, rural development among others.

Speaking about her opponents, the PDP candidate declared, “I am not coming with empty promises, but with a clear, measurable, and people-driven plan to restore dignity, opportunity and development to our constituency.

“Abakaliki/Izzi is the heart of Ebonyi State – blessed with fertile land, hardworking farmers, intelligent youths, and resilient women. Yet, we remain underserved when it comes to federal presence, infrastructure, and economic opportunity. This negative trend must change and 2027 is our time to effect this desired change.”

Nwojiji said she has what it takes to defeat the incumbent, Hon. Emmanuel Uguru, and other male contenders across political parties.

The PDP candidate decried what she described as poor representation of the constituency despite being the heart of the state, said she was going to the National Assembly to change the narrative.

“I have all it takes to defeat the incumbent because our people have been suffering and I have vowed that I will solve their problems in different communities.

“We don’t have many women in politics and it is not good. Presently, I am the Zonal Chairman, Ebonyi North, PDP. I am not intimidated by men because there is no difference between them and I.

“So, I am not afraid of men. I am going to the National Assembly to offer quality representation to my people and I am prepared for it,” she said.

Nwojiji promised to hold quarterly town hall meetings to give account of her stewardship if elected.

According to her, “I will run an open-door constituency office accessible to all, regardless of party, clan, or religion. I will sponsor people-oriented bills and move motions that protect the interest of Abakaliki/Izzi constituency.

“Every federal allocation for constituency projects will be published and executed transparently.

“I am not coming with empty promises, but with a clear, measurable and people-driven plan to restore dignity, opportunity and development to our constituency.
