Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has resigned his membership of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Atiku, a front line member of the opposition coalition movement in a letter dated July 14, 2025 and addressed to the Ward Chairman of the PDP in Jada 1, in Jada Adamawa state expressed his thanks to the party for the “opportunity given to him” to serve including as the presidential candidate of the party.
The former Vice President, however, said he was “parting ways” with the party due to the “trajectory of the party” Currently.
