Equatorial Guinea Bans WhatsApp Over Trending Sextapes

The Government of Equatorial Guinea has suspended social media platform, WhatsApp in the country amid viral videos of one of its officials seen various sexually explicit videos.

Though reports indicate that the social media platform still has skeletal services, users are only able to send texts, but cannot send or download visuals.

The Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency, Baltasar Ebonga Engonga,  54, is seen in the videos where he allegedly had sex with over 400 women, most of them wives of senior government officials, including a sister to the President of the country.
