Deputy Speaker, Sympathies with Owners, Staff of 3 Radio Stations Destroyed by fire in Abia

 

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has extended his heartfelt sympathies to the owners of 3 radio stations destroyed by fire Saturday night in Aba, Abia State.

He also sympathized with the members of staff and loyal listeners of the stations in Aba and beyond.

The affected stations-Enyimba 94.3 FM, Rose 101.9 FM, and Legend 98.3 FM, a
hub of community entertainment and information located under one building along Aba-Owerri Road Expressway, Aba were reportedly engulfed by an inferno that caused a significant material damage.

Fortunately, no lives were lost in the blaze.

He said: “I extend my deepest sympathies to the owners, staff, and loyal listeners of stations. While the material damage is significant, let’s take comfort in the safety of all individuals involved.”

The Deputy Speaker while recognizing the roles the stations have been playing in promoting local talent, providing vital information, and fostering connection among residents commended their tireless efforts and dedication to serving the public interest.
