Davido Takes Plight of Abducted Oyo School Children to the World, Calls for Their Release at World Cup Concert
Afrobeat super star, Davido took the agitation of Nigerians over the abduction of school children and their teachers in Oyo State by Fulani terrorists to the global community on Wednesday night ahead of the World Cup which is being hosed by the US, Mexico and Canada.
Davido donned a special attire bearing the names of the 39 abducted pupils from their school in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, the singer’s jacket had the inscription “Bring Them Home” during his performance at the FIFA World Cup Countdown Concert in Los Angeles.

The custom-made jacket featured the names of 39 abducted schoolchildren and seven teachers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State
The school children were violently abducted on May 15, 2026, in Ahoro-Esinle Community, a teacher in the school was later beheaded by the terrorists while the children some as young as four remain in captivity nearly one month after their abduction.
