Court Acquits Naira Marley, Sam Larry Over Mo’bhad’s Death

A Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba, has finaly acquitted Nigerian  music star, Abdulazeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, over accusations of complicity in the death of fellow musician,  Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje in his ruling, stated that Naira Marley, music promoter, Samson Balogun, AKA Sam Larry, Owodunni Ibrahim, AKA Primeboy; and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde had no case to answer in the Mo’bhad’s death.

Despite the ruling, the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), will go ahead to prosecute Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad shortly before he passed.

Also, one Ayobami Sadiq, will be prosecuted for the offence of reckless and negligent acts contrary to Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
