The Labour Party in Benue State has warmly welcomed the Deputy Minority Leader of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Pastor Onah Blessed Emmanuel, JP, to its fold.
In a statement issued on Friday, Hon. Philip Agbese, Member representing Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency and Leader of the Labour Party in Benue State, said the development reflects a shared commitment to good governance and progressive leadership.
“It is with immense delight and profound enthusiasm that I welcome Rt. Hon. Pastor Onah Blessed Emmanuel, JP, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Benue State House of Assembly representing Oju State Constituency, to the Labour Party family,” Agbese said.
“Your decision to join us reflects a shared commitment to good governance, progressive leadership, and the genuine development of our dear state.”
Agbese described Pastor Onah’s defection as a significant addition to the party, citing the lawmaker’s experience, integrity, and dedication.

“We are stronger and better positioned with your experience, integrity, and dedication, now fully part of our team. Welcome aboard, Rt. Hon!” he added.
“Together, we shall forge an indomitable force, working assiduously to champion the aspirations of our constituents and secure resounding victories in 2027 and beyond.”
The Labour Party leader concluded the message with optimism: “The future is bright!”
The development comes as political realignments continue across Benue State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Pastor Onah’s entry into the Labour Party is expected to strengthen the party’s presence in Zone C and enhance its grassroots mobilisation efforts in Oju and surrounding areas.
