Air Peace Condemns Sen Oshiomhole’s ‘Violent Unruly Conduct’ in Lagos Airport

The management of Nigeria’s leading airline, Air Peace has condemned the actions of a former governor of Edo State and lawmaker representing Edo North in the Senate, Senator Adams Oshiomhole who the airline accused of “physically assaulting “its staff at the Murital Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

Oshiomohle  who was said to have missed his early morning flight, instead of making alternative travel arrangements resorted to “physical violence” and literally disrupted airport operations and left many innocent travelers stranded.

In a statement issued by the airline seen by FACTSHEET, the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker arrived the airport after boarding processes had been concluded and insisted that the aircraft must return to Lagos to fly him to Abuja. The action of the former labour leader forced the airline to board its passengers through and alternative terminal.

“Air Peace strongly condemns the unruly conduct of a prominent Nigerian politician who disrupted Airport operation  on the morning of Wednesday June 11, 2025.

 

“The prominent individual in question arrived at the Muritala Mohammed  Airport terminal 1 (Zulu Hall) at approximately 06.10 am for a flight P47120 scheduled to depart Lagos for Abuja at 06.30am , in line with our standard on-time departure policy,  the boarding process  had closed, and the flight departed as scheduled.

 

“Upon being informed of the missed flight,  the politician resorted to violence,  physically assaulting our staff and forcefully barricading the terminals entrance.

The lawmaker has not spoken to the media on the incident at press time.
